Description This is a RARE, "dummy" issue of The New Sport Magazine...a prelude to Sports Illustrated. It is the Dummy No. 1 from December 5th, 1953 and measures 11 1/2" tall by 8 1/4" wide. The pages are in wonderful shape (no tears, folds, etc.) and the cover is good but has come off the staple on the bottom (still attached at top and middle staple). The magazine purchase comes with a plastic display case that measures 14 1/4" tall by 11 1/4" wide. This is truly a collectible for the sports fan. These were only sent originally to the "dummy" advertisers and proofers...not to the general public. It's cool to read what the Editors of the magazine say that they are trying to accomplish in the future with this sort of magazine!! Place a Bid!
