I have had this in my possession since 2000 and have cherished and admired it ever since !  The plate itself has obvious wear from the printing process and  is made of very heavy brass with such great artwork ... the plate reads backwards of coarse ! plate reads : EVERLAST reg. us pat off. the most famous name in boxing price No.   At some point the plate was retired and then was beautifully crafted into a box ( as shown ) and I can only assume , then given to the women whos name was engraved on a small silver plate inside the box ! That name reads to the absolute best of my ability - Anne Hurst This is where the research starts ! Not only do I not know the production date of this item , or when and where it was operational ? THIS ITEM FOR BID IS AUTHENTICATED BY ME 100% THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT THIS IS THE REAL DEAL !!! I also do not know the relationship of the women ( Anne Hurst ) has to this company or persons in thre company ! What I do know , is that i am holding on to a piece of boxing history and combined with the beauty and age of this item , there is a good possibility there are some ownership values also ! I have spent  hours trying to research its history , always knowing that if I ever put this item up for sale that a true & sincere  Everlast Boxing memorabilia collector would appreciate the item for its nostalgic value , and its rarity ! I have seen thousands of signed and unsigned gloves on-line , but have not yet found anything remotely as unique as this ! My asking price reflects my  estimated value ! I am not an avid sports memorabilia collector and nor am I proficient with the history of The Everlast Boxing Co. From what very little research I have done I believe that Everlast was started near or in the year 1910 ...that could possibly date this plate as being almost a century old ( I DONT KNOW ) !!!! I do although very much consider this a one of a kind item and would appreciate any feedback otherwise ! The box measurement are : height = 4 1/4  - width = 11' - depth = 5 9/16" The box is made of a maple veneer with a 1/2" thick lucite base to the lid . The inside is lined with a purple type velvet ! I have not cleaned the plate or the box ! It is rather striking the way it is in its original condition !
