From June 1987 through May 1999 The Cooperstown Bat Company produced 3 series of Limited Edition Autographed Baseball Bats. The 1st Player Series included 10 bats that were signed by: Ernie Banks, Yogi Berra, Johnny Bench, Stan Musial, Pee Wee Reese, Frank Robinson, Mike Schmidt, Duke Snider, Ted Williams, and Carl Yastrzemski The Second Series only consisted of 1 bat signed by George Brett They also started a Famous Pitcher series that consisted of Sandy Koufax and Nolan Ryan They discontinued the series due to the high cost of production. The bats are all Limited to 1000 pieces and have never, nor ever will be re-produced. #'s 500-599 were consigned to people that agreed to buy the whole collection as they were produced. I was one of them. All 13 bats are # 540/1000. I have seen other auctions on ebay for each bat individually but never sold as a set. Here is the oppurtunity to own the whole collection. To be honest, why am I selling them? I have an 18 year old son, Senior in High School who is Special Needs. My wife and I have found a wonderful program for him in Buffalo NY that is going to cost a small fortune. I can send him to Harvard for less! But I always said I would only sell them to provide him with an education and hopefully a chance to live a normal life. They have been sitting in a clost for years, 2 or so of them have never been on display. They do come from a smoking home, but regardless are in pristine condition.
