You are viewing a 12 x 10 inche professionally mounted autograph display of ''Bradmans Invincibles', the 1948 Australian Cricket Team; the first Australian team to tour England after World War ll. Including five Test matches Australia played a total of 31 first-class fixtures, plus 3 other games. Their record in the first-class games was 23 won and 8 drawn; in all matches, they won 25 and drew 9. They won the Test series 4-0 with one match drawn. Sir Donald Bradman's last Test series, and the side is generally regarded as the greatest team that Bradman appeared in. It is also cited as the best cricket team of all time. There are 18 signatures in the display: Keith Johnson (manager); Don Bradman (captain); Lindsay Hassett (vice captain); Ray Lindwall; Keith Miller; Sam Loxton; Neil Harvey; Bill Brown; Arthur Morris; Don Tallon (wicket-keeper); Sid Barnes; Ian Johnson; Bill Johnston; Ernie Toshack; Doug Ring; Ron Hamence; Colin McCool; Ron Saggers (wicket-keeper). Note that 7 of the above players that have captained Australia. The players originally signed a 'With Compliments' sheet, which was copied and sent out to all the English county cricket clubs. The item offered for sale is reproduced from the one sent to Glamorgan C.C. The display is mounted in green & gold (Australian colours); it is 12 x 10 inches, which is standard size for framing and is set off with a professionally produced watermark of the great Sir Donald Bradman and makes a great addition to any collection and of course will make a wonderful present.
