Description
Offered for auction is one of the toughest cards in the old judge set. It is on the want list of most advanced collectors of this set and correctly so. The toughest subset of cards in the set are the portrait cards of the 1887 Mets team. Sometimes called dotted ties, there are only a few portrait cards in the old judge set. The spotted ties are rarely offereed for sale, and I can not remember the last time a BEHEL card was offered for sale. The card itself has really nice corners and a clean back. It is a really strong '5 ' grade on this card. The image is beautiful. I know there was discussion at one time whether or not Behel was one of the first Jewish baseball players - not sure what the outcome was on that discussion. This is a beautiful, rarely offered card that does not come along.. Don't miss out.. 5.00 S & H plus the cost of insurance.
